Online Business Manager versus Project Manager - what is the difference?

Online business managers (OBM) and project managers both play important roles in helping businesses run efficiently, but they have distinct responsibilities and areas of expertise.

An Online Business Manager (OBM) is a professional who works (often remotely) to help businesses and organisations manage and grow their operations. They handle a wide range of responsibilities, including project management, operations management, marketing and advertising, team management, and business strategy. OBMs are often hired to help small business owners who are stretched thin and need help with managing different aspects of their business.

On the other hand, a project manager (PM) is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing a specific short-term project. They are responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets the goals and objectives of the project. Project Managers work in a variety of industries, including construction, software development, marketing, and more. They work with cross-functional teams and are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including budget, schedule, resources, and quality.

While both OBMs and Project Managers play an important role in helping businesses run efficiently, their responsibilities and areas of expertise are distinct but they often work together on projects. OBMs are usually more focused on the overall management of a business, while project managers are more focused on specific short-term projects.
